Earth Day is quickly approaching, but we at Simon believe in celebrating Mother Earth every day. From flower planting events and recycling drives to sustainably sourced fashion—our centers across the country are supporting the planet with environmentally friendly initiatives all month long. Read on to find out how your local Simon center is going eco-friendly this Spring. 

 

Birch Run Premium Outlets®

Birch Run Premium Outlets is giving back to the planet (and the community!) with events centered on sustainability, recycling and more for an environmentally conscious future. Abele Greenhouse & Garden Center is educating the next generation of movers and shakers by teaming up with local elementary schools to sponsor a flower planting event at the center.

Make sure to stop by one of the many pop-ups happening throughout the month to recycle both clothes and electronics for an eco-conscious spring cleaning.

 

King of Prussia®

Have a spare lipstick tube jumbling around in your makeup bag? Don’t throw it out! Instead, head to Sephora at King of Prussia to recycle your empties and other used makeup and small plastic packaging on-site. Plus, swing by to check out even more exclusive brand pop-ups highlighting their own green initiatives. 

 

The Fashion Mall at Keystone

If you’re looking to donate unwanted items from your spring closet revamp, we know just wear to turn! Drop off your gently used denim and sneakers with Fresh Threads and Changing Footprints. The Fashion Mall at Keystone is going the extra mile for Mother Earth at their celebratory events, including hosting fun photo ops, bringing in a live DJ and more!

 

Create Your Own Air Plant and Crystal Terrarium

Strengthen your green thumb this month with a spot of gardening at our Earth Day pop-ups at 11 Simon centers. Join Leelee’s Garden and create your own air plant and crystal terrarium. With careful step-by-step instructions, you’ll get to choose from a selection of sand colors, air plants, stones, crystals and other embellishments. Best of all, these terrariums are built to last—the perfect way to celebrate Earth all year long. Visit one of the centers below for more information:
